Where a free tool on this site does the calculation for you, the entry links straight to it.

4Ps of Marketing
The 4Ps of marketing are product, price, place and promotion: the four decisions you control when you take something to market. They only work together.
Analytics and DataA/B Testing
A/B testing compares two versions of a page, email or ad to find which performs better. One variable changes at a time; everything else stays identical.
Performance MarketingAd Rank

SEOAnswer Engine Optimization (AEO)
Answer engine optimization structures content to be the direct answer to a question, targeting featured snippets, voice results and AI summaries.
Performance MarketingAverage Order Value (AOV)
Average order value is the mean revenue per transaction. Raising it is often cheaper than acquiring new customers, and it directly improves ROAS and profit margin.
Analytics and DataBounce Rate
Bounce rate measures how many visitors leave a website without interacting. GA4 replaced it with engagement rate, flipping the framing from failure to success.
Brand StrategyBrand Archetype
A brand archetype is a personality template drawn from Jungian psychology that gives a brand a consistent character. It guides tone of voice and storytelling.
Brand StrategyBrand Architecture
Brand architecture organises a company's brands and products into a coherent hierarchy. It determines which names share equity and which stand alone.

How to use this glossary
Marketing has a vocabulary problem. The same idea gets three names depending on who is talking, and half the terms get used confidently by people who could not define them if pressed. That costs you real money when a budget conversation turns on whether someone means ROAS or ROI, or whether "reach" is the number they think it is.
Each entry here is written to be read in under two minutes. You get the definition first, then how the thing actually works, then a real campaign where you can see it operating. If you learn better from examples than definitions, start with the marketing case studies and follow the glossary links back from there. If a term involves a calculation, check the free tools, since several of them do the maths for you.
Where it is relevant, entries include Indian marketing context alongside the usual US and UK examples, because pricing, margin structures and channel mix look different here, and a break-even ROAS that works in one market can quietly sink you in another.
